How to Make a Great Avocado Sandwich
If you like avocado like I do, you will find every reason to have it – and have it daily. They tastes good with anything. Well, almost anything — but goes well with plantains, potatoes, yucca, rice, grits, you name it. I usually have a quarter of an avocado with my meals two to three times a week.
Not only that avocados taste good, but they’re good for you. It contains mono-unsaturated fats that helps boosts your metabolism and reduces over-eating. It has three times the potassium of a banana.
It also has minerals of iron and copper which are beneficial for the blood, and one of the richest source of fiber when compared to other fruits and vegetables. Vitamin A, B-complex vitamins, powerful anti-oxidants that we need – like vitamins C & E.
So you see, not only does it tastes good, it’s healthy too!
This is a very easy recipe to make, and it isn’t limited to just the ingredients listed below. You can also add your own spices to taste. In just four steps!
•2 slices of bread (whole grains), avocado, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper
•knife, fork, spoon, bowl
- using a ripe avocado, slice down the center on one side then the other.
- use a spoon to scrape the avocado and place in a bowl and mash with a fork.
- assuming that your ingredients are already diced, add them to the rest mashed avocados and mix.
- toast your slices of bread, add mix to bread and have at it!
Eat more avocados. It’s good for you!
