White Rice and Black Beans Stew, Mixed Rice and Peas, Oxtail, Stewed Chicken, Plantains and Codfish, Yucca Roots, Fried Plantains, Stewed Vegetables, etc… All those I just named are all dishes you would find in any of the countries in the Caribbean. However, but unfortunately, outside the Haitian community, Haitian Cuisine isn’t at all popular. But I believe that it’s just due to ignorance.
This will sound totally bias, but Haitian Cuisine is One of he Best Caribbean Cuisines that I’ve ever tasted. I frequent Jamaican, Dominican, Puerto Rican, Bahamian, Cuban Restaurants, but it’s always a temporary fix — hardly does it ever suffice the graving for some good ole Haitian Cooking.
